Born and raised in the Baychester area of the Northeast Bronx in New York City, Mr. Howard Dixon understands the challenges and struggles young people face in underserved communities. An honors graduate of DeVry University, Mr. Dixon majored in Computer Information Systems; and has over 38 years of experience as an Information Technology professional. Mr. Dixon is a devout Christian, who serves as Deacon, and as a Ministry Lead in his church’ He leads with faith, integrity, and a deep commitment to nurturing others. Additionally, he is the father of two daughters: and is a proud “Girl dad”.

Howard Dixon’s lifelong role, as a Christian, community builder, mentor, leader, and coach, reflects a profound love for guiding youth towards self-actualizing their full potential and long-term goals. Endowed with a heart for service, he brings a lifetime of dedication to the community’s youth where he has been a youth basketball coach for more than 12 years.

Mr. Dixon employs basketball as a vehicle to instill, and teach his players discipline, teamwork, and confidence. Additionally endeavoring to further aid, and empower the youths of his community, Mr. Dixon serves as the founder and Chairman of Howard’s Heart; a nonprofit rooted in compassion, mentorship, and community elevation. Mr. Dixon passion for inspiring youth is behind Howard’s Heart—a mission-driven organization created to support, inspire, and stand in the gap for the next generation.
